1. The Best of the home remedies for irregular periods – Blackstrap Molasses

If you are suffering from very long, heavy and/or painful periods, try this remedy. You maybe sceptical but of all the people I’ve consulted with it’s had amazing success!

  • Get unsulphered Black Molasses
  • Take 1 teaspoon in the morning and one in the evening
  • You can mix it with something such as yoghurt to improve the taste

Some women find this treatment takes a few months to work, but most see results in just a few days! Another benefit is that it has lots of iron and other minerals which is great as you are likely to be anaemic (iron deficient) if you have had heavy periods.

I use blackstrap molasses by Wholesome sweeteners, available from Amazon, because it is organic and unsulphered.

2. Home Remedies for Irregular Periods – Apple Cider Vinegar

If the blackstrap molasses isn’t for you, ACV may be the one. This helps both people who have not had a period in a long time, and those with heavy periods.

  • 3 tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of honey (mainly for the taste!)
  • 16 ounces of water
    and drink!

You can either drink this all at once or separate it out throughout the day. Many people think that this works because it helps your bowels, and there is a link between unhealthy bowels and heavy periods.

Note of caution: This natural treatment is not suitable for diabetics

You can get Apple Cider Vinegar from Amazon or iherb. I recommend Bragg’s because it is organic and contains ‘the mother’ (meaning it is raw not pasturised).

3. Home Remedies for Irregular Periods – Colon Cleanse

As mentioned above, many people see a link between PMS and heavy periods and bowel issues. Going on a detox can have some great benefits, and you can try the master cleanse system which has had great results for many people, not only for helping with periods, but overall health and losing weight.
